An Information Security Management System (ISMS) is no simple matter. You don’t build policies, processes, and controls overnight.

It’s a process that takes time, but it is absolutely crucial for working effectively with information security. Every day without the right controls in place is a day when the door is left open for hackers and human errors.

Setting up an ISMS requires involvement not just from IT and compliance, but also effort from several different departments, especially management. Yet not everyone is keen on new rules or extra tasks in their daily work. It’s no surprise that it can be a long process with plenty of bumps along the way.

And that’s before even mentioning the ongoing task of maintaining an ISMS, with new threats, regulations, and projects constantly arising both internally and externally.

That’s why, at Wired Relations, we’ve made it our mission to make the process easier wherever possible. We provide tools, processes, and guidance designed to ease the workload and pave the way to a more secure organisation.

Now, we’re proud to introduce two new features that we believe can make a real difference for anyone working (or about to start working) with an ISMS. We call them ‘Recommendations’ and ‘Policy Templates’.

Simple and intuitive

“We hear it again and again. Information security requires collaboration and can be difficult to anchor in the organisation. A concrete step towards working sustainably with information security is setting up an ISMS. That’s why we’re continuously improving the ISMS features in Wired Relations, making them intuitive, user-friendly, and above all simple,” explains Karen Syppli Hansen, Head of Product at Wired Relations.

With the new features, she hopes even more people will take the leap into working systematically with information security, and that some of the uncertainties that often arise along the way can be laid to rest.

“Our goal is to create a tool so straightforward that people actually look forward to getting started. With these new features, we want to deliver some quick wins that give users a sense of success and show tangible progress,” she says.

Recommendations

We’ve added a guide that provides clear suggestions for the next steps in setting up your ISMS. For now, the feature applies to one ISO control, but it will gradually be expanded.

Policy Templates

In Wired Relations you’ll now find a library of ready-made, best-practice templates for ISMS, NIS2, AI, and GDPR policies. You can use them as a starting point, adapt them to your organisation, and reach your goals faster without starting from a blank page. You can also send them to your colleagues directly from the system and track whether they’ve been read and accepted.
